Antivirus Protection

Antivirus protection is possible with a few good antivirus software programs. While you can get a virus scan online, I would recommend a software application as it provides far more protection overall.

Software programs that provide antivirus protection should do a few things to your computer to ensure security.

Full System Scan
A full system scan should be done almost immediately after installation. This will tell teh software the curretn state of your computer. And, hopefully there are no viruses to repair.

Quarantine and/or Delete Viruses
Sometimes antivirus software attempts to repair files infected with a virus, an they are not often successful, so it is important to have a quarantine where the file can reside until it is repaired or replaced. Otherwise you may be forced to delete a critical file.
