The Trojan.Peacom worm is using Valentine's email messages with subject lines such as "My Heart belongs to you" and "Together You and I" to spread. Ensure that antivirus software is up-to-date. Never open unexpected email attachments.

Use Basic Caution No widespread attacks
Although no widespread attacks are currently targeting web users, take normal precautions while viewing sites due to ongoing threats such as script-based attacks and phishing attacks that use fake sites.

Use Extreme Caution New Messenger Trojan propagating
Symantec has detected a new piece of malicious code circulating over IM. The messages may appear legitimate, with a link to 'im-profile.com'. If a URL to a dangerous file appears in a message, do not click it -- ask the other party to verify the URL.

Use Basic Caution No high profile threats
This is a common vehicle for attackers to distribute malicious code. However, there are currently no high-profile threats using file-sharing methods. Still, you should always use caution when downloading files, especially from sources you don't know.
